Lots has happened since the last post. Mike's aunt and my mom came into town because I had surgery this week. It was a cardiac ablation surgery to correct a funky rhythm in my heart. It was scary, but everything went well after they found a nurse who could start an IV properly (yikes!) needless to say it was a hectic week! Leo did a few new things such as grabbing his keys (and staring intently at them) and he has finally taken more of an interest in books. He even helped mom turn the pages as she read about colors to him! He is still as sweet as ever....smiling more and more. It is hard to believe I have to go back to work in 3 weeks. I am going to miss spending so much time with him, but his daddy will be at home to entertain him and keep him company. Next week we are going to visit my classroom to see the kids and hang out with teachers. We will post more then!

Here are just a few more photos...I couldn't resist!

Leo is 7 weeks old in two days, and the last few weeks have been very eventful for him. He is smiling more and more and is much more active on his play mat. This weekend the weather was exceptionally nice so we went on a 3 mile hike. Leo did great... no complaining at all! He also attended his first church service today. Leo is really starting to grab onto things and has even tugged at the giraffe on his play mat. Enjoy the new photos!

Oops! Here are the Holiday's pictures!

Holidays

It has been awhile since our last update...so here is what has happened in the world of Leo and family. Christmas was very lively and fun. Leo's grandparents (Mike's mom and dad) were here to share the excitement with us. Needless to say there was a lot of holding and passing of the baby. Mike and I even got to have dinner out by ourselves!...very exciting in the world of new parents. Leo seemed to enjoy himself, although he slept most of Christmas morning. Things quieted down a bit after our family left, however, this week has been a big one for us in the motor skills department. Leo gave his first real smile AND rolled over... twice! Every day he is more alert and much less fussy. We have gone to the library and taken many walks around town as the weather permits. We are looking forward to more visitors in the next few weeks. Mike's aunt and my mom will be here for a week! Enjoy the photos...we will try to take more!
